Our Team
Dr. Violet Hunter, MD, FMACP
Family Medicine Physician & Founder
Dr. Violet Hunter, MD, FMACP is a Family Medicine physician and the founder of Hunter Integrative Medicine and the Wellness Center. She has cared for patients in Uganda and across the United States, supporting individuals with diabetes, heart disease, autoimmune conditions, obesity, cancer, and other chronic health concerns.
Her passion for integrative medicine grew from both her professional experience and her family’s personal journey with chronic illness. While attending medical school in Uganda, Violet’s father encouraged her to come to the United States and learn how to cure diabetes. His words stayed with her and helped shape her desire to look beyond symptom management toward prevention, root causes, and lasting health.
After witnessing the power of coordinated integrative care during her mother’s cancer treatment, Violet became even more committed to an approach that brings medical care, nutrition, movement, emotional support, and wellness therapies together.
Violet wants every patient to feel heard, valued, and supported as a whole person. She believes healthcare should be proactive, healing should not happen from only one angle, and no one should have to navigate their wellness journey alone.
Through Hunter Integrative Medicine and the Wellness Center, Violet is helping create the kind of care she wishes had been available to her own family—care designed to help people live healthier, fuller lives.
Jaime Davis
Clinic Manager
Jaime oversees the daily operations of the clinic while also providing colon hydrotherapy services and supporting patients throughout their care. Her responsibilities include staff management, billing, payroll, product ordering, scheduling, patient care, and helping ensure every person has a positive experience.
With more than 20 years of healthcare experience, Jaime brings a background in case management and office management within an OB-GYN setting. She also supports services such as HBOT and HOCATT and is always willing to step in wherever the team needs her.
Jaime loves being part of each patient’s story and helping people become the healthiest version of themselves. She values the clinic’s person-centered approach, recognizing that every patient’s needs, lifestyle, and health journey are different.
Her hope is that every person who walks through the doors feels comfortable, heard, supported, and at home. Seeing the happiness that comes from a patient’s progress is one of the most rewarding parts of her role.
Outside of work, Jaime enjoys making memories with her family, especially her four young grandchildren. She loves yearly vacations, Caribbean cruises, water parks, and clear ocean water with white sandy beaches. Her motto is simple: “You only live once—take the trip, treat yourself, and live life to the fullest.”
Krista David, RT(R)(CT)
Wellness Care Coordinator
Krista supports patients through lab draws, IV infusions, HOCATT treatments, and the NewWave Weight Loss Program. She also helps answer phones, rooms patients, and steps in wherever needed to keep the clinic running smoothly.
She brings 12 years of healthcare experience, with a professional background in operating room and radiology settings. Krista is a registered X-ray and CT technologist and holds the credentials RT(R)(CT).
Krista was drawn to integrative medicine because she wanted to work in a setting where patients are treated as more than a number. She values looking deeper into why symptoms are happening and finding thoughtful, whole-person solutions rather than simply masking concerns.
What she enjoys most is connecting with patients and helping them feel like the best version of themselves. She hopes every patient leaves feeling comforted, supported, and reminded that they truly matter.
Outside of work, Krista enjoys spending time with family and friends, golfing, and running. Her personal motto is, “One day, one step, one breath at a time.”
Becky Presar
Patient Experience Coordinator
Becky is one of the first friendly faces patients see when they visit the office. She greets patients, answers calls, schedules appointments, processes payments, and helps keep the day-to-day workflow running smoothly.
She brings six years of healthcare experience, including work as a CNA, Activities Assistant, and primary care front desk specialist. Becky is also a college graduate and certified minister.
Her connection to integrative medicine is personal. As a former patient of Cedar Valley Functional Medicine, Becky experienced meaningful improvements in her own health and felt listened to, supported, and educated about the root causes of her concerns. That experience inspired her to join a practice that values whole-person care.
Becky hopes every patient feels welcomed, seen, heard, and hopeful. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with loved ones, attending church and small group, reading, and being outdoors.
Allie Nuss
Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy Technician
Allie provides hyperbaric oxygen therapy and helps patients feel comfortable, informed, and supported throughout each treatment. She monitors their progress, answers questions, and works closely with the care team to help ensure every HBOT session is completed safely and successfully.
Allie graduated from Covenant Radiology School in 2008 and brings a strong background in patient care. She spent eight years working in urology and is also a certified thermographer with specialized training in the operation of hyperbaric oxygen therapy chambers.
What Allie enjoys most about integrative medicine is seeing patients regain hope and improve their quality of life. She values the clinic’s focus on education and empowering people to better understand their health while working alongside providers who support their individual needs.
Allie is especially interested in gut health and the many ways it can affect the entire body. Her goal is to help every patient feel at ease and cared for during their time at the clinic.
Outside of work, Allie is a busy mom of four sons and one daughter. She enjoys boating with her husband and children, gathering around campfires, spending time with friends and family, and cheering on her kids in all their activities.
Kelly Lestina, ARNP, FNP-C
Nurse Practitioner
Kelly provides care for patients with both acute and chronic health concerns, with a special focus on integrative medicine, hormone health, and weight management. She works closely with patients to understand their symptoms, identify possible root causes, and create care plans that support their long-term health and wellness.
Kelly has 19 years of healthcare experience and has spent the past nine years practicing as a Nurse Practitioner in hospital, home care, long-term care, and primary care settings. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Health Promotion from the University of Northern Iowa, along with BSN and MSN degrees from Allen College. She is also working toward her functional medicine certification.
Kelly was drawn to integrative medicine through both her professional calling and her own health journey. She values an approach that combines conventional and natural medicine rather than treating them as separate paths.
She is especially passionate about women’s health and the ways hormones affect the body throughout every stage of life. Kelly hopes patients feel comfortable, heard, supported, and confident that they have a partner throughout their health journey.
Outside of work, Kelly enjoys spending time with her husband, three children, and mini goldendoodle. She is an avid runner, enjoys half marathons, and serves as a parent representative for her son’s cross-country team. Her motto is, “Take it one step at a time and celebrate the little things.”
