Dr. Violet Hunter
Family Medicine Physician & Founder

Dr. Violet Hunter is a Family Medicine physician and the founder of Hunter Integrative Medicine and the Wellness Center. She has cared for patients in Uganda and across the United States, supporting individuals with diabetes, heart disease, autoimmune conditions, obesity, cancer, and other chronic health concerns.

Her passion for integrative medicine grew from both her professional experience and her family’s personal journey with chronic illness. While attending medical school in Uganda, Violet’s father encouraged her to come to the United States and learn how to cure diabetes. His words stayed with her and helped shape her desire to look beyond symptom management toward prevention, root causes, and lasting health.

After witnessing the power of coordinated integrative care during her mother’s cancer treatment, Violet became even more committed to an approach that brings medical care, nutrition, movement, emotional support, and wellness therapies together.

Violet wants every patient to feel heard, valued, and supported as a whole person. She believes healthcare should be proactive, healing should not happen from only one angle, and no one should have to navigate their wellness journey alone.

Through Hunter Integrative Medicine and the Wellness Center, Violet is helping create the kind of care she wishes had been available to her own family—care designed to help people live healthier, fuller lives.

Krista David, RT(R)(CT)
Wellness Care Coordinator

Krista supports patients through lab draws, IV infusions, HOCATT treatments, and the NewWave Weight Loss Program. She also helps answer phones, rooms patients, and steps in wherever needed to keep the clinic running smoothly.

She brings 12 years of healthcare experience, with a professional background in operating room and radiology settings. Krista is a registered X-ray and CT technologist and holds the credentials RT(R)(CT).

Krista was drawn to integrative medicine because she wanted to work in a setting where patients are treated as more than a number. She values looking deeper into why symptoms are happening and finding thoughtful, whole-person solutions rather than simply masking concerns.

What she enjoys most is connecting with patients and helping them feel like the best version of themselves. She hopes every patient leaves feeling comforted, supported, and reminded that they truly matter.

Outside of work, Krista enjoys spending time with family and friends, golfing, and running. Her personal motto is, “One day, one step, one breath at a time.”

Becky Presar
Patient Experience Coordinator

Becky is one of the first friendly faces patients see when they visit the office. She greets patients, answers calls, schedules appointments, processes payments, and helps keep the day-to-day workflow running smoothly.

She brings six years of healthcare experience, including work as a CNA, Activities Assistant, and primary care front desk specialist. Becky is also a college graduate and certified minister.

Her connection to integrative medicine is personal. As a former patient of Cedar Valley Functional Medicine, Becky experienced meaningful improvements in her own health and felt listened to, supported, and educated about the root causes of her concerns. That experience inspired her to join a practice that values whole-person care.

Becky hopes every patient feels welcomed, seen, heard, and hopeful. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with loved ones, attending church and small group, reading, and being outdoors.
